  20. Would you rather - (as a kid) of received all the presents you asked for or receive surprises (but they turned out to be good presents)?
Answers
  1. Since I'm 18 now, I'll have to say Money. It's always best to choose your own presents as you get older!
  2. As much as I'd love to get the cold feeling at Christmas (If you live in the UK, you know what I'm talking about), I think the North Pole is a little too cold for me. So Hawaii for me :)
  3. I would rather go Christmas shopping throughout the year, but that never happens nor will it ever.
  4. A snowy Christmas! It's not Christmas til it's snows! (Well, for me anyway)
  5. Wrap presents!
  6. This is the 21st century, so I'm going to have to go with electronics. So yeah, if anyone fancies buying me a new laptop... feel free ;)
  7. Last Christmas - Wham. Favourite Song Ever.
  8. The Santa Claus.
  9. Have Christmas celebrated twice a year. That's more holidays from College, more food, more presents, more family time, more sales. Hmm, defiantly that one.
  10. I would rather spend Christmas all alone. Although, it's a time for family. I'd hate to be alone on my birthday!
  11. I would rather be born on Feb 29th. I can't see my mum buying me 2 lots of presents for the same day really... & I'm sure we could pretend that I was born on the 28th :D
  12. Give everyone big gifts... wouldn't that be lovely. If only...
  13. I'd rather give up my birthday... who wants to be a year older anyway.
  14. Loads of big gifts obviously!
  15. Santa Claus.
  16. Make a gingerbread house... I've never made one, so that'd be cool.
  17. Erm, throw a snowball.
  18. Although it was utterly heartbreaking, I'd rather find out for myself.
  19. Christmas music inside... Since I'm always out, I think that's for the best.
  20. All the presents I've ever asked for, that would of been nice. But I'm still grateful for the presents I did receive of which I didn't ask for. 7

That's that then folks!
I TAG you all to do this :)
Merry Christmas &
A Happy New Year!

Eggy Bread Recipe

My special twist!

Eggy bread has always been one of my favorite foods to snack on. As a kid I used to get my mum to make it me for dinner/tea... But obviously I'm 18 now so I thought about making it myself. The first time I made it for myself, I'll be honest; I wasn't hopeful but I actually gave it a little twist of my own and made it taste even better. Honestly, now I prefer my version compared to the version I had as a kid. Here I'm going to give you my version of events and how I make it with that special twist!

What you will need:
  • 2 slices of bread (or more, depending on how many slices you want).
  • 2 eggs (also depending on how many slices you want to make).
  • A mixing bowl
  • Cooking oil
  • Pan
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Jam

Cooking time: I'm going to show you two different methods to making this; my way and the way it used to get cooked for me. The cooking time for each one is different and makes a huge impact on how they are going to turn out. My Eggy Bread takes around 10-15 altogether. The other method takes about half of that :)

Step 1
Starting things off you want to crack both eggs into a mixing bowl and season with salt and pepper. Mix until you start to see bubbles forming.

Step 2
You then want to place your pan onto your cooker and turn the gas onto low/medium heat and add a tiny bit of oil. Then you can dip one slice of bread into the bowl, use a fork to help you. Make sure the bottom part of the bread is completely covered in the egg mixture before you turn it over and do the same to the other side. Once both sides are covered in the egg mixture you can then place the slice of bread into the pan.

Step 3
This is the difference between each method. If you're doing it the normal way then you would let it simmer for 3-4 minutes on each side, basically until it's got brown patches all over it and you would be done. But for my special method, you are going to let it simmer on each side for about 10 minutes. Whilst doing so, you can get a spatula and press down on the bread. You will know that it's working when the juice/oil pushes out of the bread on to the sides of it. Keep doing this until it's flat (looks like it's been rolled over with a rolling pin). Although, this takes a lot longer to cook; it's totally worth it! You will know when it's ready because (look at the picture below) those brown patches that have started to appear in the top right hand corner will be plastered all over the bread on both sides.

Step 4
Sprinkle salt and pepper over your plate so that the bottom of the bread will get just as much seasoning as the top (this is optional). Place the slice of bread on to the plate and let it cool. Whilst you're letting that slice cool off, you can then dip your second slice of bread into the egg mixture and repeat the process.

Step 5
Now that both slices of Eggy Bread are done cooking, you can turn off your cooker if you haven't already and spread Jam on to both slices. (this is optional).

Step 6
Enjoy!!!

You can see how different the slices are; the top one is my special method (as I like to call it). Which makes the bottom one, the second method. They really do have a different taste and it's all down to how long you cook them for. Everything else is the same!

Pamper Night

A night in with your girls, your boyfriend or just by yourself it really doesn't matter, because a pamper night can be for anyone!

Seriously though, who doesn't love a good old pamper session?! If anyone has a better idea, then please... tell me.
Whether you're with your girls, your fella or if you just want a good old night in with yourself, a pamper night is for you! Everyone should treat themselves to a bit of self-indulgence now and again, no matter what age you are. Although I have ideas for a pamper night with your girls/fella, at this moment in time I wanna boost up your spirits for a 'romantic night in... with yourself'. Yes that's right, with yourself!! No-one else, just you! For steps on how to give yourself the best pamper night ever, read on.

Firstly, you want to make sure that you will be alone that night. If this is not possible, then at least give yourself some space from those around you, just focus on yourself. Ditch the cleaning and the washing, and put your feet up for a bit! Turn your phone and laptop off, make sure there is no distractions... You don't need social networking or later night texts, this is all about you and you have to keep reminding yourself of that. Keep telling yourself, that this night is for you and you only!

Secondly, you want to run yourself a nice hot bubble bath. Add a bath bomb if you have any (if you don't have a bath, you could always have a long hot shower), add some music to the room, not all that party jazz... you want relaxing music to get you in the mood. Then, dot candles all around the bathroom, and turn off all the lights. Remove any make up you have on your face, tie your hair up and get in the bath. Try reading a book whilst in the bath (be careful though!), even if you don't read books... it's never too late to start something new. If you think you've had enough, then fair enough... wash yourself. Take your time, you don't need to rush yourself. If you wash yourself slower, it'll make you more relaxed (trust me, I did it). Do everything you usually do in the bath... shave, wash your hair ect. But do it slowly! As weird as it sounds, it really does work! Pinky Promise.

If you're going to wash your hair in the bath or if you're having a shower, make sure to spend at least 3 minutes rubbing the shampoo into your scalp. It feels great. When it comes to the conditioner, make sure to focus more on the ends of your hair rather than your scalp. Leave it in for a minutes to let it sink in. Then, if you're daring enough; wash it off with cold water. Yup, freezing cold water. This will give your hair a softer feel. Don't forget to wash your face either!

Once you're out of the shower, it's time to dry yourself or walk around the house butt naked. It's up to you haha! Put yourself a face mask on, and leave it on for the right amount of time it says on the packet. Whilst the face mask is on, you can give yourself a foot soak. This might sound silly because you've just come out of the bath/shower, but most people don't usually pay that much attention to their feet in the bath as they've got the rest of their body to think about! Fill a small tub or bucket with warm water and add baby oil with vitamin E to soak your feet in. Have on hand your favorite foot scrub and scrub your feet after your warm foot soaking. Have some cottons socks on hand for when you apply your Vaseline or foot cream to your feet. Once you've done that you're free to take off your face mask! Or maybe you've already done it whilst soaking the feet? The next best thing for you to do is do your usual facial routine whether that's applying toner/moisturizer to the face, or just drying it off. Don't forget to pay attention to your hands too! Your hands go through a lot during the day! They need some loving too! Wash them with your favorite hand soap, and then pat dry. Apply a hand sanitize to get rid of any germs and then apply a hand cream.

Now it's time for your body to get some treatment! Add body lotion to your whole body except the legs and don't forget to spray some deodorant under those pits! For the legs, add some cocoa butter to make them nice and smooth. Get yourself in to the habit of taking great care of your teeth if you haven't already. Brush your teeth for at least 3 minutes. Give each tooth special attention, brush in tiny circles being sure to also brush your gums. Don't forget, you can also brush your tongue (or if you have one of those brushes with a tongue brush that's great too). Remember, to floss afterwards and use a mouthwash. Now your mouth should be minty fresh!

You may go downstairs now and get cooking or be lazy (which is exceptional in this case) and order yourself a take away. Whichever you decide, enjoy! Whilst waiting for the food to either cook or arrive, do your nails! Paint them in anyway, shape or form or give yourself a facial massage. It's important that you don't watch TV whilst eating; this tricks the stomach into thinking you want more, when in actual fact you're full. (Google it, long story).

Lastly, once you've finished your tea/dinner... you can now finally put your feet up, wrap yourself up in a warm snugly blanket and watch your favorite film!

What's needed:
  • A night in on your own
  • Bubble bath (for those with a bath)
  • Face mask
  • Book
  • Music
  • Bucket/Tub
  • Blanket
  • Film
Although, a pamper night is lovely you don't have to spend the whole night doing it. You can easily pamper yourself every day just by doing little things. Make sure you always get enough sleep, on average that's about 8 hours per night. Get enough rest too, this doesn't mean sleeping more like putting your feet up. Exercise in moderation and eat healthily. Listen to soothing music from time to time. Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated. Try out DIY ways of making facial masks.

Hope this helped, enjoy the pampering!

Halloween - The Scariest Thing Tag :

Question 1: What is the scariest real life situation you have experienced?

It would have to be the time I was walking home with 2 friends and it was really dark, no one was around as it was quite late at night and we was walking past this little house and the man who lives there has got a reputation for being quite a perv so everyone called him 'pedophile Dave'. So, we was talking about him and my friend said "imagine if he chased us, that would be really creepy"... it happened. We heard foot prints behind us, so we turned to have a look and he was walking right behind us with his hood up. We all screamed and ran, and he started to run after us. We ran literally all the way home. Not sure when he stopped running but it was super duper scary!

Question 2: Your scariest paranormal experience?

Don't even have to think about this one! Has anyone ever seen the Paranormal Activity films? Well, I have and every time I tell someone this story they always think I'm making it up because it happened in one of the films but I can honestly swear down that it happened and it was so scary at the time, to this day it's still actually really creepy.
Me and my family had gone out for night and when we returned we noticed that the loft door had opened... We had one of those doors on it where it could only be opened either by pushing it upwards or from the inside of the loft. Another spooky thing that happened in the loft is scratching noises. My bedroom was right below the loft and every so often at night I'd hear a scratching noise coming from it. It wasn't just me who heard it either, my little sister often heard it too! We had it checked over but nothing was in there, and there was no sign of anything being in there either! Creepy!!

Have you known anyone convicted of a violent crime?

Yes I have, a girl who used to bully me recently got charged with murder. I won't go into it because it's disrespectful for everyone & anyone involved.

Are you afraid of the dark? Explain why or why not?

Yes & no. It depends, if I've just seen a scary film then yes I'm scared of the dark. I'll be scared of seeing things or wondering if someone is in the room with me or following me outside. But if I haven't seen any scary films recently, then I'm usually alright. I just keep telling myself that if someone was here, like either a ghost or a person then my dog would start barking! & that's when I'd be freaked out and probably cry haha.

Does your hometown have any scary stories or legends?

Yes it does and you can actually purchase the book! It's called Derbyshire Ghosts & Legends by David Bell. It's about the Ghostly Horseman in Black. Check it out: http://www.spookyisles.com/2012/04/belpers-horrifying-horseman-in-black/

What is your favorite Urban Legend?

It would have to be the 'Bloody Mary' one. Where you stand in front of a mirror in the dark and say 'Bloody Mary' 3 times. She's supposed to be standing behind you when you've said it, covered in blood holding a knife. I've never ever ever done, and to be quite honest I don't think I ever will. I don't think it would happen, but it's something I will never know because I never want to find out.

What is your scariest nightmare?

It would have to be when I was being brutally murdered after I'd just watched my whole family including my then boyfriend being brutally murdered. It was HORRIFIC. I remember waking up, screaming and I didn't dare go downstairs so I text my boyfriend asking him to come upstairs and I literally cuddled him for like an hour straight. I was in tears because it was just that horrible and scary. He had to stay with me until I fell back to sleep.

And that's that! 7 questions for Halloween all answered for YOU :) I probably shouldn't of done it right now considering it's 1 AM and I have to go to bed soon and now I'm totally crapping myself thinking about all of this stuff but oh well :) It's done and you should do it too!

Happy Halloween!!

My First Time!

My First Time!

(TAG)

For anyone who reads blogs or watches Youtube video's then you'll probably know what I'm talking about when I say TAG. I watch the beauty related video's on Youtube, and I read the beauty related blogs, so the TAG's which I'm talking about will most likely be about something beauty related. You can though, base a TAG on anything and when I watch SprinkleofGlitter's 'My first time' TAG I was surprised to see how fast it got round to other people. Basically, you just have to answer questions about what the subject is. Obviously, this TAG sounds a little bit personal but it's not about that "First time Situation". It's about different things which I have done, and I'm basically telling you what it was like the first time I did it. I'm sure people have heard of the childhood playground game 'TAG' and it's basically like that but for social networking. You TAG whoever you want to do this and they can do it whether they want too or not. So let's begin with the questions!

  1. Do you still talk to your FIRST love? Yes and no, on and off. Sometimes we speak, sometimes we don't. It's just a casual thing though when we do speak, we just have a little catch up and then go back to not speaking :)
  2. What was your FIRST job? I haven't had one yet unfortunately! Still at college. Been trying to find a part time job since last year, sucks!
  3. What was your FIRST car? I don't have a car yet, but when I do I'm hoping it might be an Audi TT haha jk, i wish!
  4. Who was the FIRST person to text you today? I don't have a phone atm :( but the first message I received on Facebook was from Ryan hehe.
  5. Who was the FIRST person you thought of when you woke up this morning? That will have to be Ryan again. He's the first person I think of when I wake up, and the last person I think of when I go to sleep :)
  6. Who was your FIRST grade teacher? I wish I could remember! I remember my first teaching ASSISTANT lol her name was Mrs Smith, she was lovely. I wanted her to be my mum haha (I love my mum though obviously).
  7. Where did you go on your FIRST ride on an airplane? I haven't yet been on one :( fingers crossed next year though!!
  8. Who was your FIRST best friend and do you still talk now? Her name is Victoria, and yes we do sometimes speak on Facebook but she moved to Switzerland when we was in year 1/2 so I haven't seen her since then.
  9. Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time? My mum's. I was a bridesmaid :)
  10. Where was your FIRST sleepover? Oh god, I don't even remember! I reckon it would of been at Shannon's house, but I'm really not sure!
  11. What was the FIRST thing you did this morning? I went to get a drink, my mouth was so dehydrated ha.
  12. What was the FIRST concert you've ever been to? Kelly Clarkson :)
  13. FIRST broken bone? I'm proud to say that I've never broken a bone!
  14. FIRST piercing? Ears.
  15. FIRST movie you remember seeing? Dumbo.
  16. When was your FIRST detention? Year 7 or 8, don't remember. I had that many of them haha.
  17. Who was the FIRST beauty related person you watched on Youtube? Laurenbeautyy & I still watch her now!
Finished!
Now, I tag all of you! :)

Skin Care Routine :)

Disclaimer: Only pictures of me are mine. I don't have a phone/camera at the moment so all pictures of products are off Google Images.

I'd say my skin care routine was pretty simple to be honest. It consists of only a few products which I 100% swear by. If you try these products and they don't work as well for you, then I apologize but this is what I use for my skin and everyone's skin is different. I wash my face, morning & night. I haven't got the best skin, but it's getting better. I have very oily skin, and it tends to be quite red at times. I do have spots just like most people and I hate them with pure passion but it's something I've learned to live with, and work with.

The first product I use is the Osiris Apricot Facial Scrub. I'll admit I was nervous about using this product for the first time, because it's a cheap product, but I am so glad that I did try it out because it's amazing for my skin. The smell is obviously Apricot and you can really smell it; it smells absolutely divine. The smell is very rich, it smells so good I could almost eat it.

It's simple to use and easy to get off, what could be better? All you need to do is put a small '1p' coin size on the tips of your fingers (that's how much I use anyway)... and rub it into your face in circular motions. Although you can feel the abrasive beads within it, it's not harsh on your skin which means you can use it every day. I use this morning & night and it's only ever made my skin better. I then rinse it off with lukewarm water and tap dry with a towel. It leaves me skin feeling softer than ever, and more importantly; cleaner than ever. I brought this for just 99p down at Morrisons!! I can't tell you if they still sell it but you can by it online too.

My next product is something I shouldn't really be using because I'm only 17 but I just love the way it feels on my skin. It's actually my mum's but I tend to use it every so often. Sometimes I use it at night, because I don't have make up on then so it can really soothe into my skin, other times I'll use it when I know I won't be wearing make up that day.
It was brought from Avon (which in the UK is a small booklet full of inexpensive products) It's in the 'Solutions' category. It's the Ageless Bloom Day - Day Cream and you can buy the Ageless Bloom Night Cream but I decided against it.

I start by dabbing little blobs on to my face; my cheeks, my forehead, my nose & my chin. Then all I do is rub it in softly. You can really feel it work on your skin as soon as the product touches your face. It gives me this 'tight' feeling, like I can really feel the lines on my face tightening up. Which is great if you have little lines on your face like I do. I know shouldn't be using it, but it doesn't break me out at all and it feels great so until I find another product like this one, I won't be getting rid of it anytime soon! Both products; the day & the night are both £7 from Avon. You can buy it online also.

The third product I use is the Simple Face Light Moisturizer which is from the Simple Skincare Collection. I use this every day and it works brilliantly. It really keeps my skin clear and it makes a great primer for make up. It doesn't make my foundation go blotchy or patchy like a lot of products have done to me in the past. It keeps it on for a lot longer if I'm honest. I love Simple products because not only are they the UK's #1 Facial skincare line but the products itself have great advantages. None of their products includes dyes, artificial perfumes or harsh irritants. They also contain vitamins for the skin.

The next thing I do is pretty obvious. I brush my teeth! I've been using the new Colgate Max White One. I've noticed it really does help whiten your teeth. I know a lot of toothpastes say that they do this and that they do that, but this one really does work and I believe I will be repurchasing the product. Because I smoke (I'll quit soon), it's harder for me to keep my teeth white all the time but since using this toothpaste I've noticed a big difference in the color of my teeth. I recommend buying it, because I can assure you it won't be a regret of yours. I hate the taste of mint, which is what really bugs me about toothpaste but the taste of this one isn't as strong as others are. To me that's already a winner!

Also, because I have an electric toothbrush I like to use it to also soften my lips. Have you ever heard of doing that? Obviously, I use hot water ( to get rid of any bacteria first hand + I don't put toothpaste on it) but I do it every 2 days or so. I don't want to do it every day because I don't want it to irritate my lips, but every couple of days is perfect. I also follow up with a mouthwash which I'm sure a lot of you do, so I won't go into that.

Apologies for not writing a post in a while, I've had a lot going on. I should be posting a lot more when I get my phone fixed because then I'll be able to take pictures and do proper reviews for you.
