Happy Birthday Daddy♥

Hi guys.
So today is something a little bit different to the usual post - I was going to do a Spring Collection for you but I've decided against it and I've chosen to do this instead.
Some of you might know this, and quite a lot of you may not.

It's my Daddy's Birthday tomorrow, he would of been 49. I say 'would of' because he sadly passed away 8 years ago.

It's strange; carrying on with life without him. Leaving school, starting college, having a boyfriend... he's missed so much already, and there's so much more he's going to miss. It's sad.

I like to think that he's so proud of me, wherever he may be. I haven't done any of the things I set out to do, but what I have done is that I have overcome things that would usually bring me down.
I get quite upset when I speak about him, but that's because I miss him... and when you miss someone, you feel all emotional inside.

Sometimes, I feel him around me. It's quite a weird feeling, and not something that I could easily describe. There's been many times, when I've sat speaking about him and something strange happens... like the lights start flickering, or the TV turns off by itself. Coincidence? Maybe. But I believe that it's him, giving me a sign that's he around. I don't like to think that he's gone forever, that he's not around anymore because that makes me feel empty, and I don't want to feel like that all the time.

My dad, like anybody's dad... is a huge part of my life. Why? Because I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. Okay, maybe I would be... but I wouldn't be the same person. (Do you ever have those thoughts about what it would be like if you wasn't here, and then you start thinking about what you would be like if you were born at a different time? - I'm doing that now, strange isn't it).

We do, in my opinion... come into this world to die. I don't know why, nobody knows why, it's just a part of life. I like to think that we go to a nice place, it's a controversial subject to talk about, but why? Because nobody knows... not really.

Anyway... off subject - My dad; He was everything to me. I didn't see him all the time, and I argued with him and had my little tantrums but the love for him I had, never changed.

He was an idiot at times, but he was my idiot and I loved him. I still love him and I will never stop loving him.

I will always miss him and I will always think about him, but I can't stop my life because of someone who isn't here anymore. The world keeps spinning, and I keep changing. I'm growing up... and that won't stop until it's my time to leave.

I hope he has a grand old time wherever he is, and a nice cold beer to celebrate with.

Happy Birthday Daddy♥

DIY Coloured Hair Grips/Bobby Pins

Hi guys!

Once again, I'm on the Pinterest route...
and today I've found a really easy and simple DIY.

What you need:
- Bobby pins/Hair Grips
- Nail Polish
- Top coat nail polish (optional)

Take some bobby pins or hair grips, (it's up to you what you use).
Grip them on to some card or paper...

Pick out your favourite Nail Polish...

Paint your hair grips/bobby pins and let them dry for about 5 minutes.
You can give them a second coat if you wish, and if you don't want them to chip easily, then I recommend using a top coat to keep it all in place a little longer.

& there we have it... easy isn't it?

2014 Summer Essentials!

Hello people :)

Summer 2014 is quickly approaching, and if you're like me then you are going to want to look your best. Here I tell you my personal top 10 summer essentials.

1. Fake Tan - If you're like me and don't tan that easily then this is an essential for summer. It's completely harmless and safe to use unlike sitting in front of the sun for hours on end, or visiting a sunbed which can lead to skin cancer and other kinds of sun damage.

2. Bronzer - If you want that "natural" summer glow, then Bronzer is the way to go. (ooh that rhymes) - It's also a multi product as you can use it as a blush and/or a contour.

3. Bright Nail Polish - I'm a guilty nail biter, so I won't be doing this but for those who have will power and don't lower themselves to nail biting, this is perfect for you. Bright neon nails are a must for Summer.

4. Make-Up Setting Spray - There's nothing worse than spending hours doing your make up for it to melt off during your time in the sun. Setting spray's are made to keep your foundation, shadows, and eyeliner in place all day long.

5. Cream Eye Shadow - In the warmer months you'll find that creamy eye shadows are the bomb! They offer a subtle hint of colour without making you look 'too' made up. I recommend using the Maybelline Eyestudio Color Tattoos. They come in over 10 different colours, perfect for any time of the year.

6. Waterproof Mascara - For those who don't have time to do a full face of make up, or would like to have a dip in the pool this Summer, this is a must have for you. You don't want to end up looking like a panda when you're out chilling with your friends, or at a really awesome pool party... do you?

7. Sun Cream - This is the absolute number 1 product you need for Summer, or any season that contains Sun. It's also best to find a foundation with a SPF in it. Try and find a travel size for those days when you just want to throw it in your back, and go.

8. Fruity Fragrances - If you're looking for a perfume that is presentable, affordable and has a sweet fruity fragrance to it, then I recommend the Marc Jacob’s Daisy Eau So Fresh Sunshine Perfume which has a mixture of Strawberry, Lemon, Rose and Apple Blossom. It's a playful, fruity fragrance perfect for Summer 2014.

9. Lip Stain - Want your lips to have great gloss coverage that lasts all day? Then look no further because the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer's are the best in my opinion. They have a range of colours, from subtle to bright. With just 1 swipe it gives off amazing coverage, leaving you with a brilliant glossy finish. Although, this will wear off throughout the day, the gloss manages to stain your lips to leave them with colour all day.

10. Blotting Paper - The final essential needed for Summer this year is Blotting Paper. It's hot and your skin is getting shiny with all the sweat right? Just take one of these blotting sheets to get rid of it all.

What are your top 10 Beauty Essentials for Summer 2014?

Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate - What's your Favourite?!

Hi guys!

So anyone who knows me, knows that I love my chocolate. Seriously, who doesn't?! It's delicious on every level.

I pretty much have 1 bar (those medium sized bars) every day. Bad for you, and I wouldn't recommend it but seriously, I just can't go in to a shop and not buy chocolate... especially when it's staring right at me saying 'eat me, eat me'.

So I've decided to blog about it... why may you ask?
Well why the hell not.
I blog about things that I love... and I love chocolate, so here we are.

I'm 110% sure that anyone reading this, knows exactly what Dairy Milk is... right? Well, that is my favourite kind of chocolate.

I mean they can literally take any chocolate or biscuit and turn it into something so amazing & yummy.

With Easter coming up, they've brought back some old favourites including the mouth watering creme egg and the (well-thought-out) egg & spoon chocolate mousse. I think it's safe to say that yes I have bought myself both in recent weeks, and have enjoyed every last bit of it!

Just the other day, I found myself in Poundland buying the new limited edition Hoppy Bunny Chocolate Bar, although being totally honest - it wasn't that nice. It was cute though... white chocolate bunnies placed over the chocolate pieces; adorable.

With new chocolates bars coming out every couple of months, it's mind-altering to think of the possibilities that lie within their company/brand. Seriously, who would of thought that they could turn Ritz Cheese Crackers into an appetizing combo of that and chocolate.

Now though it's down to my all time favourite.
Why though? As you will notice, the shape is completely different to the usual squares. The sections are completely random shapes, and have a unique texture to them which makes it quite a interesting bar.

I'm a random kind of girl when it comes down to personality, so I feel that this bar suits me perfectly. It contains fruit flavoured jellies, sugar coated candies & popping candy, as well as the smooth taste of Cadbury chocolate.

So yeah... that's it.

What's your favourite Dairy Milk Chocolate?

P.S - If you are a big fan of Banana and Caramel, then heads up... there's a new bar coming out called Marvellous Creations Banana Caramel Crisp! Sadly, I'm not a big fan of Banana's so I won't be eating this one :( but maybe the next one will be something more to my taste :)
