Date Night

Hey girls!

Me and Ryan (my boyfriend) recently hit the 2 year mark on our relationship which is as lovely as ever.

We've been through some rough patches, but given the time and effort we've spent trying to make it work, talking about things and changing a few stuff here & there, we're still together and hoping to be for quite some time! It's lovely being in a relationship with that one person who gets you the most. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be single too but I'm just the type of person who prefers to be in a relationship rather than be single.

To keep us on our toes, it's always nice to have a little fun. You don't want to be stuck in all the time doing nothing but watching day time T.V... Why may you ask? Because it's boring that's why! Although, sometimes on those 'I really cba to do anything' days... watching day time T.V actually has it's good points.

If you find yourself doing this in a relationship, you need to change it... and fast!
No-one wants to be in a boring relationship where you end up doing the same thing over and over again. It's nice to change it up a little bit once in a while. That's why I recommend having 'Date Nights'.

Obviously, you don't have to do this every single day you see each other but like I said above, once in a while it's a nice thing to do with each other.

I don't mean spending lots of money either, because although Ryan goes to work... I don't as of yet (currently looking for employment), so sometimes money is an issue. I'm not the type of girl who wants my fella to pay for everything either. If he offers, fair enough but I'll still try and find a bit of money from somewhere, just in case. I'm a bit stubborn like that. It's nice idea for him to pay for everything but c'mon, it's a bit cheap and a little skanky to get him to pay for everything we do, all the time.

You can do the simplest things, and still have a really good time. Just going to the pub for a drink or two is classed as a date, so why not do that? I don't drink alcohol that much, (I had my first alcohol beverage today for the first time since NYE!). I often have water, or maybe a coke depending on the mood I'm in, but it doesn't matter what you drink. As long as you're out and having fun, alcohol doesn't really come in to it... even if you're at a pub.

You could cook a meal together, or cook a meal for your partner. You could even go the whole way (don't be rude) and put candles up and some nice music.

Sometimes though, it's nice to do something a little different. Maybe go to a spa? Or a hotel for the night, or maybe do something a little more outrageous and go to a concert. The whole point of a date night is spending time with the person you love doing something you love.

Just the other day, me and my fella decided to go out for a meal. It wasn't crazy expensive, and we split the bill (sort of). I paid for the desserts - he paid for the meal and drinks. (I offered to pay that too but he's just as stubborn as I am haha).

It was lovely getting out the house for a bit, even if it was just behind his house. We went to a Brewers Fayre Pub, which is honestly so lovely. The food is just, mmmmm.

I had a Pasta bake with 2 garlic bread slices and a side salad, whilst Ryan had a Chicken burger, chips and a small salad. For dessert we both had a HUGE slice of chocolate cake; I had ice cream with mine, and Ryan had custard with his. For drinks, I had a Bulmers (the red one) and Ryan had some sort of beer haha.

All I'm saying is spend a little more time being in each others company doing stuff you both enjoy and you'll find yourself feeling and being happier, and your relationship will be stronger too :)

Superdrug Haul & Review

Hi guys!
Apologies for it being a while since I did a post; I haven't been feeling it recently.

I've recently been to Superdrug and bought a few things, some things I thought I'd share with you and give a small review on them.

Cleansing Facial Wipes - £0.99
Cleansing Facial Wipes - I wasn't going to buy these at first... it was only when I accidentally got some lipstick marks on my brand new handbag that I decided that I ought to buy some. I chose these mainly because of the price; 99p can't go wrong really?! But actually, they are really good and I'm so glad that I purchased them. As you can see, they are for sensitive skin, fragrance free and they remove waterproof mascara. They do have a little bit of fragrance to them, but it's nothing off putting and doesn't bother me at all. They are literally the softest wipes I've ever used before, and I really recommend them. They are great at removing make up, and all in all my favourite buy.

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - £2.52
Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - I'm pretty sure I've already done a post about this moisturiser but oh well a small review won't hurt anybody. I love this stuff. Like it says on the bottle, it's hydrating and light which is the best kind in my opinion. I love using this stuff before I apply my make up and after I've removed my make up. I also apply it on those days when my face is just feeling a little dry and dull. It's easy to spread around the face, and doesn't have a strong fragrance to it. It's a lovely product and I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser Clear - £7.99
Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser Clear - Don't be fooled by the name 'Baby Skin'. My grandma was ever so confused as to why I'd purchased something with that name, but she then realized what it actually was haha! I've heard a lot of people talk about this, and dupe it with the Benefit Porefessional. Personally, I don't think it makes much of a difference on my skin. I have huge pores, and I have really been struggling with keeping them at bay recently so I thought I'd try out this product and honestly, it hasn't made a difference. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't recommend it in my opinion.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer Eclat Clair 51 - £7.99
Healthy Mix Concealer - I purchased this because when I've recently tested it on the back of my hand; I felt that it was a lovely full coverage concealer that would be perfect to go under my eyes. I've tried using it on top of my foundation under my eyes, and it just came off throughout the day and made my face all patchy. I then tried it under my foundation instead, and felt that it was much better but still wasn't as good as I'd hoped. It makes my pores appear much larger, and doesn't last that long either. It says it's oil free yet moisturizing... I agree that it's oil free but I don't see how it's moisturizing because in my opinion, I feel that it's really dry. That being said, I hate to waste product and for £7.99 I would rather not. So, I will be using it all up but I won't be making the same mistake and re-purchasing.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick Rose Neon 12 - £7.99
Rouge Edition Lipstick Rose Neon 12 - When I first saw this lipstick, I fell in love and I haven't fell out of love since. It's amazing. I know that the lipstick looks two different colours in both pictures, but that's down to the lighting (sorry). I would say that it looks more like the first picture but comes off on your lips as the colour in the second picture if you get what I mean? It isn't the best when it comes to pigmentation, but it's still a lovely colour and a little glossy too. My new favourite lipstick I think!

Mua Pro Mascara Mega Volume Black - £3.00
Mua Pro Mascara Mega Volume Black - I bought this mascara because my Sister has it and I always find myself "borrowing" it. I love it. It makes my eyelashes look really good, not long but it's not made to make them look long, it's made to make them look voluminous which it does well. For £3.00 you can't really complain. It's a really good inexpensive mascara and I recommend it to all my readers :)

MUA Intense Colour EyeLiner Royal Blue - £1.00
MUA Eyeliner - I love this eyeliner! My god, It's good! £1.00 and wallah... it's perfect. I've tried looking for it online to link it on here but I can't find the colour :( Anyway, I've wanted an eyeliner for a while but I didn't know what colour to have. I can't wear black because I have tiny eyes and black would make them look even smaller. So after much consideration, I decided to take the plunge and get this Royal Blue eyeliner instead. It suits me really well when I use gold eye shadow and I'm so glad that I purchased it.

MUA Blusher Bon Bon - £1.00
MUA Blusher - The last product I bought was this MUA Blusher in Bon Bon. It was only £1.00 and I have to admit, it's really good. Not the best colour for my skin tone but hey ho, it wasn't expensive so who cares?! It's very pigmented for £1.00 something I was surprised by but obviously loved at the same time. I would recommend all the blushes in this collection :)

That's it then... I'll probably buy some more later in the week, but for now that's all I've got.
I've got a Primark Haul coming up soon as well, so keep an eye out for that :)

There's also a deal going on at Superdrug - 3 for 2 on all make up.

Have you tried any of these products? If so, what do you think of them?

Goodbyes & New Beginnings

Hi guys.

So these last two weeks have been awful, one of the worst two weeks of my life actually although for the past 2 days it has got a little better (which I will tell you about further on).

Sadly, last Saturday 26/04/2014 my gorgeous baby girl Jessie, our family dog passed away. She honestly meant everything to me, we'd had her for 11 years and it was such a shock for her to go just like that.

She was fine up until Friday 25/04/2014. We woke up to her bleeding everywhere, badly bleeding I mean. It was like a blood bath in our house. We thought that she was just in season, and didn't realize how serious it was. Unfortunately, we couldn't get her to the vets until the Saturday... which I'm kind of thankful for because it means we had one last day with her with us.

Saturday morning, she was heading to the vets. My Mum told us to say our goodbyes even though we wasn't expecting them to do anything except maybe check her over and give her some medication; it was just for a precaution - just in case. So we said our goodbyes, and it was hard because I honestly believed that she would be coming home in a few hours or at the latest, the day after. After about an hour, we got a phone call from our Mum who very upset-tingly told us that Jessie had to be put down. I lost it then, I broke down in tears and just couldn't stop crying... for at least 2 days. It was heartbreaking. I just couldn't, and tbh I still can't imagine my life without her because she's been in my life for 11 years which is a long time especially since I was just a child back when we first got her.

It was hard, very hard. The vet had said that they had found a cyst on one of her ovaries, and because it had been left untreated for so long (she had no symptoms so we didn't have a clue)- that it was causing her kidney's to fail. They said that they could give her a huge operation to try and sort it, but chances are she'd bleed to death within 3 days and my Mum just couldn't put her through that. It wasn't fair on her to go through all that, just to die anyway. So, she was put down.
(I won't go in to it anymore - because what happened after is a bit personal and I'd like to keep it to myself) - but I was heartbroken, and I still am.

Anyway, this might seem quite soon but the following Thursday (yesterday) we got a new puppy! We haven't decided on her name yet, but we're falling towards the name Milly. She's a 9 week old Jackhuahua which is a Jack Russel/Chihuahua. She is so small and dainty, nothing like Jessie which was the point. We don't want to replace Jess but living without a dog, is like living without chocolate... impossible ;) haha.

She doesn't look that small here but she is tiny. She can fit inside a cup hehe :)

The same day, we also got Jessie back. We didn't want to bury her in our back garden, because for all we know we might not live here forever and we wouldn't want her lying in someone else's garden. So we had her cremated instead, and she was bought back to us in a lovely little box and has now placed herself very nicely next to our T.V.

So, Rest In Peace Jessie... We love you & we miss you so much baby girl, but you will always be with us.

And...

Hello to our new puppy!
